A personal success story...

Before I started my personal training with my Physio Fitness trainer, I was a size 12 and weighed 200 lbs. I was so depressed, I ate fast food and chocolate everyday. Disgusted with myself, I knew I had to change my lifestyle. I invested in some personal training sessions. At first we started out slow, 1-2 x week... and eventually worked my way up to 5 x week. After working with my trainer, my weight has dropped 57 lbs. (which is where I set the goal for myself), and I have been keeping it there! I am now fitting into my size 6 again! My body fat % has dropped 19% !!!!!!

I am much happier now, and when I look into the mirror, I like what I see! My trainer has taught me how to eat 5 small meals everyday, within my calorie limits, and still enjoy what I eat. I now have lots more energy so I can now do cardio 4 x week, and weight train 5x week, meeting with my trainer when I need that extra push, or if I feel I've reached a sticking point.

The most important thing I have learned is not to compare myself to anyone else, (my trainer helps me feel comfortable with who I am) And not to give up... ever...!

All about the CORE...

I started training with Roger Stewart from Physio fitness 4 years ago . My regular training session in the gym would range from two to four hours. I am a professional cyclist and wanted to change to a program to help me with not just my cycling, but my posture as well. Roger introduced me to his Core Training program which would entail between an hour to an hour and a half of working out. The whole concept of core training was new to me and the results were incredible . I went from a bulky weight of 195 pounds to an athletic, lean 173 pounds . In my opinion the core training methods that Roger has developed are the best I have seen in the fitness world and would benefit anyone looking to improve their body shape, weight, posture and gaining more energy. I would highly recommend Roger Stewart as a personal trainer.

My Transition...

Great Results...

I would like to let you know the results of my personal training with Roger Stewart of Physio Fitness. I had my evaluation and discussion on June 28, with Roger. I started my first personal training session on July 1. I have finished my package on Sept. 12.

After meeting 2 times per week, and being dedicated in following Rogers' instructions here is what the personal training and nutrition have done for me:

  • I have lost exactly 20 lbs......from 200 down to 180
  • My blood pressure has returned to normal so I no longer require medication.
  • My swollen ankles have returned to normal
  • I am less stooped because I have strengthened my back muscles
  • I no longer suffer from chronic reflux.

Roger has helped me establish an excellent workout routine and a good method for balancing my diet to sustain me for the future. He has been an excellent personal trainer.

INCIDENTALLY, I had my 70th birthday on Aug. 13!

Stronger...

I have been training with Maria for 2 ½ years now. I always look forward to working out with Maria because the workouts are always challenging (never boring) and I always feel a sense of achievement when I finish. Maria gives great instruction on exercising techniques whether using the machines, free weights, BOSU ball, etc. and she is also a great help with nutrition. I never thought I would be able to perform some of the exercises that Maria has progressively helped me with especially after my shoulder surgery. I feel stronger not only in my workouts, but also in my daily activities. It is obvious that Maria puts a lot of time, thought and effort into tailoring her workouts for each individual client. Professional and Dependable...

Maria has been my personal trainer for the past year and a half.  I was very active with cardiovascular activities (running, biking..), but hadn't been doing any type of resistance training.  My goal was to gain upper body strength and improve my swimming in order to compete in triathlons.  Since then, I have gained significant muscular strength and have competed in 6 triathlons.  Thanks to Maria's sessions and coaching at the pool, I have shaved 30 seconds off my 100 yard swim time.  Maria has also helped strengthen my core, as well as improve my balance and coordination.

Maria is very professional, dependable and a lot of fun to work with too.  She challenges me with a very creative and unique workout every time--I never get bored and she's always working me hard.  She is also sensitive when I tell her  I'm injured or not up to par on a particular day and she always finds ways to train around the injury.  Maria is an excellent personal trainer and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Strength and Endurance...

I have been training with Maria since November 2005. I had just started my first full-time desk job after graduating college about six months prior. As a college athlete, I trained more than 3 hours a day. I knew I wanted to tone up again, but it was impossible to commit that much time. I wanted to find a healthy balance between working out, eating well to fuel my workouts, and still being able to maintain a social life. I really love training with Maria. Since she has a similar athletic background, I feel like I am going to meet up with a teammate. I always feel motivated and encouraged. I thought that I knew a lot about working out, but Maria always is coming up with a new, creative and challenging routine. All of my workouts are extremely efficient. In 50 minutes, I do a total body workout: a mix of strength, stability, and plyometrics. I have seen gradual and consistent progress along the way. I have more strength and endurance, as well as a decreased body fat percentage.
